Andrea Sigetich

Corporate Background

Andrea Sigetich, President and Founder of SageCoach, is a recognized expert in management and leadership development.  With the insight and demeanor of a sage leavened with a strong dose of animation, Andrea brings over 30 years of solid international business experience in management and leadership development to her work as a consultant, coach, and mentor to managers and leaders.

As a Leadership Coach, Andrea is sought by movers and shakers in Human Resources, C-level executives (CEO, COO, CFO, CLO, CTO … you get the idea!) and leaders at all levels.

As a consultant, Andrea’s niche is HR and other executives who are compelled to create Sage Leaders in their organization – and are experiencing a big “GULP” when they wonder how to do that!

Andrea has held senior leadership positions in Human Resources, Union Relations, Management Development, Employee Development, Organization Development, and Organization Communication at General Electric, Digital Equipment, and Novell.

She excels at inspiring and leading individuals and teams within organizations.  She initiated and built an internal organization development and team facilitation function.  She created and owned three entrepreneurial businesses.  With twelve years of global development responsibility, Andrea has managed staff in Canada, Japan, Australia, France, Germany and Great Britain.

Educational Background

Andrea earned a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Human Resource Management from the University of Utah (summa cum laude).  She is a Master Certified Coach (MCC) with extensive study and training, and well over 4,000 paid hours of client coaching.  She also holds the Coaches Training Institute designation of Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC.)

Consultancy and Coaching Experience with SageCoach

Andrea has consulted to organizations on strategic development of leadership and management skills since founding SageCoach in 1997.  SageCoach’s corporate client list is extensive, and includes technology firms, financial services, hospitality, health care, transportation, and small service businesses.

She is recognized as an expert mentor, coach, designer and consultant, with very strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Flexible in her approach to designing actions and solutions, she customizes her work to each client’s needs.  Her considerable business and life experience provide a solid realism to her Leadership Coaching and Leadership Development work.

With her co-author, Carol Leavitt, Andrea recently published a book, Play to Your Strengths.  Play to Your Strengths transforms today's burgeoning interest with strengths from theoretical and nice-to-know into practical tools for leaders who want to build their own strengths and the strengths of their teams and their organizations.

Personal

Andrea also loves life, and the great outdoors – especially the desert (which should be no surprise!) With her husband Beryl, she enthusiastically pursues hiking, kayaking, skiing, geocaching, and camping from their home in Bend, Oregon.

A model of life balance, Andrea has carefully labeled and stacked her belongings in nondescript storage facilities and gone (in the words of Willie Nelson) “on the road again" twice, interrupting her career path to bring balance to her life and awareness of the beauty and bounty of our continent.  She also shoots archery, roller blades, and drives a 1977 convertible Fiat Spider (in the desert summer).  She and Beryl share their home and land with four active cats, and oodles of sage plants!
